"VERDICT: Lee's perfectly crafted dystopian thriller will keep readers up all night and have them begging for a sequel." (Library Journal (Starred Review))"A tight, fast-paced thriller, with a winding, twisty plot and an intrepid protagonist." (Booklist)"[A] moving dystopian thriller... Lee gets readers to invest in the characters, particularly her well-defined and sympathetic lead."  (Publishers Weekly)“THE LINE BETWEEN blurs the line between science fiction and terrifying real science. Tosca Lee gives us a cautionary tale that is beautifully written and deeply unnerving!”  (Jonathan Maberry, New York Times bestselling author of V-WARS and PATIENT ZERO)"The perfect blend of spellbinding and heart stopping, The Line Between is an absolute must-read. Tosca whips up a thriller that is emotionally wrenching yet utterly believable, the kind of story that is sure to leave readers breathless and begging for more." (Nicole Baart, New York Times bestselling author)"Everything you want in a thriller: suspense, intrigue and best of all, a truly captivating protagonist to cheer on. Throw in a white-knuckled race from Chicago to Colorado over backroads that this author obviously and respectfully knows well. This one's a slam-dunk that'll keep you reading, non-stop until the very last sentence."  (Alex Kava, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author)"A fast-paced and deeply human story.  Tosca Lee has put together a terrifying apocalyptic scenario, made all the more real through the eyes of a protagonist who comes to life on the page." (Patrick Lee, New York Times bestselling author of RUNNER)“Relevant and frighteningly real, The Line Between is an infectiously good read. Be prepared to lose sleep.”   (Brenda Novak, NYT and USA Today Bestselling Author of FACE OFF)"An utterly immersive tale of apocalyptic cult manipulation and all-too-possible infectious epidemics, this story will have readers holding their breath on every page and dearly wishing for their own basement survivalist shelter. Perfect, chilling entertainment." (Lydia Kang, bestselling author of A Beautiful Poison)"An edge-of-your-seat, nonstop, apocalyptic rollercoaster of a thriller! As only she can, Tosca Lee pulls the reader in and refuses to let go until the final heart-pounding page!" (J.D. Barker, International Bestselling Author of The Fourth Monkey) Tosca Lee is the award-winning New York Times bestselling author of The Progeny, Firstborn, Iscariot, The Legend of Sheba, Demon: A Memoir, Havah: The Story of Eve, and the Books of Mortals series with New York Times bestseller Ted Dekker. She received her BA in English and International Relations from Smith College. A lifelong adventure traveler, Tosca makes her home in the Midwest with her husband and children.

In this frighteningly believable thriller from New York Times bestselling author Tosca Lee, an extinct disease re-emerges from the melting Alaskan permafrost to cause madness in its victims. For recent apocalyptic cult escapee Wynter Roth, it’s the end she’d always been told was coming.

When Wynter Roth is turned out of New Earth, a self-contained doomsday cult on the American prairie, she emerges into a world poised on the brink of madness as a mysterious outbreak of rapid early onset dementia spreads across the nation.

As Wynter struggles to start over in a world she’s been taught to regard as evil, she finds herself face-to-face with the apocalypse she’s feared all her life—until the night her sister shows up at her doorstep with a set of medical samples. That night, Wynter learns there’s something far more sinister at play and that these samples are key to understanding the disease.

Now, as the power grid fails and the nation descends into chaos, Wynter must find a way to get the samples to a lab in Colorado. Uncertain who to trust, she takes up with former military man Chase Miller, who has his own reasons for wanting to get close to the samples in her possession, and to Wynter herself.

Filled with action, conspiracy, romance, and questions of whom—and what—to believe, The Line Between is a high-octane story of survival and love in a world on the brink of madness.

Beautifully Crafted Story Tosca Lee once again crafts a story that keeps you breathlessly turning pages until the very end. And then it leaves you wanting more.We meet Wynter Roth in the middle of her story - she's being forcibly removed from The Enclave, the home of the cult known as New Earth. She leaves with one goal in mind - to return and rescue her sister Jaclyn and Jaclyn's daughter Truly. There's just one problem - Jaclyn is married to the leader of New Earth, a man named Magnus. And he's the one kicking Wynter out into the world that he has taught his followers to fear. Thankfully, she's barely past the boundary of New Earth when she is met by an old family friend, Julie, who is determined to help Wynter get her bearings. Julie and her husband Ken let Wynter move into the apartment over their garage and they make arrangements for her to see a therapist when she becomes overwhelmed by all the sudden change in her life. The outside world is a strange place to Wynter. She's never used a smart phone, watched television, or "surfed" the internet. And the world she's entered is facing a serious problem that is only just becoming apparent. Numerous people are struggling with what seems to be an early-onset form of dementia and the doctors are baffled as to the cause. Especially because it seems to be contagious. To make matters worse, the power is going out and the gas stations are running out of fuel. Outside forces using the health scare to their advantage perhaps?Beautifully weaving flashbacks together with Wynter's current experiences, Lee takes the reader on an emotional ride through the events that led to Wynter's expulsion from the Enclave and places her squarely at the center of a national health crisis. She reconnects with a former cult member that had supposedly died and even gets a chance to see her sister (outside of the Enclave) who entrusts her with the monumental task of transporting precious cargo that could hold the answer to curing the epidemic that is sweeping the nation. Along the way, she meets Chase, a former Marine who makes it his personal mission to help Wynter make her very important trip (once he forces the truth out of her, that is). And that former cult member? She introduces Wynter and Chase to Noah who has gone to great lengths to provide a safe, secure hideaway for just the type of crisis currently taking place.Underlying all of this is Wynter's own personal struggle to figure out just what or who is worth believing in. As a child, Wynter's faith in Magnus and his teaching was firm and unwavering. In her adult years, she learns things about Magnus that cause her to question everything she once believed. So is she really sorry to be leaving when Magnus casts her out? And just exactly how does Jaclyn, the wife of The Prophet, come into possession of items that could prove invaluable to the CDC in treating and stopping what is shaping up to be a pandemic?A Page-Turner--A Bit of an Acquired Taste, Though The Line Between is one of those odd books that captures me in some ways and repels me in others, so I rated it right in the middle.Tosca Lee knows how to keep the pages turning; at various points, I did not want to put the book down. Her plot moves along at a great clip without being exhausting. It strikes me as a mix of The Handmaid's Tale and more modern books about the end of the world, such as One Second After. Seeing cataclysmic events through the eyes of a former cult member was also a good choice. Wynter does not just believe the chaos and epidemic of rapid early onset dementia is the end of the world. She knows it, because she's had it drilled into her head for fifteen years that something like this will happen. That creates some heavy psychological and spiritual tension I wish Tosca had capitalized on more (I'll get to that). The conflicts of The Line Between's plot drew me with their uniqueness. For instance, here, it's not foreign terrorists threatening to destroy America--it's bioterror in the form of a highly contagious disease. Serious illness and the dark side of the medical world are among my biggest fears, so I definitely had a vested interest in seeing if everyone would be okay. I also appreciated the twist Tosca threw in about 70% into the book, wherein Wynter must run for more than her life. The Line Between does have some problems. First, because this is such an action-driven story, the characters often feel two-dimensional. Some, like Magnus, feel stereotypical. Not that an evil cult leader with serial wives isn't a good threat. It is, partially because people like Magnus do exist and make their livings deceiving and destroying vulnerable people. But between Jim Jones, David Koresh, Warren Jeffs, and various documentaries and iterations on Dr. Phil--well, we've seen it. A lot. I would have liked some kind of twist, some special element, that set Wynter's experience apart from the rest. I also craved more about Wynter, Jaclyn, Chase, and the others--deeper looks into their emotions, motivations, spirituality, and so forth.Spirituality is another problem. I love a Christian book that makes the Christian element subtle, and Tosca delivers. However, I didn't get the sense that any of these characters were putting their hope in God (the real one) or trying to find Him. Wynter does a little bit, but I wanted so much more. Tosca gives her a good setup, in that she's dealing with religious PTSD, so naturally, she's going to be cagey about anything to do with God, Jesus, faith, etc. But then that tension fizzles in the face of the action. I understand, and maybe Tosca will cover it more in the next book, but...meh. Tosca also took a bit of a risk letting a few characters curse and say or do things a lot of Christian readers will not like. It pans out, sort of, but did we need it? Not sure...Overall, this book is probably more a 3.5, and I'm glad I read it. I could've used a lot more character and spiritual depth, but if you like plot-driven stories, this is probably one of the better ones out there. If nothing else, it will make you think.

Whiskey in a Teacup Pdf

ISBN: B07BS357SH
Title: Whiskey in a Teacup Pdf

Academy award-winning actress, producer, and entrepreneur Reese Witherspoon invites you into her world, where she infuses the Southern style, parties, and traditions she loves with contemporary flair and charm.

Reese Witherspoon's grandmother Dorothea always said a combination of beauty and strength made Southern women "whiskey in a teacup". We may be delicate and ornamental on the outside, she said, but inside, we're strong and fiery.

Reese's Southern heritage informs her whole life, and she loves sharing the joys of Southern living with practically everyone she meets. She takes the South wherever she goes with bluegrass, big holiday parties, and plenty of Dorothea's fried chicken. It's reflected in how she entertains, decorates her home, and makes holidays special for her kids - not to mention how she talks, dances, and does her hair (in this audiobook, you will learn Reese's fail-proof, only slightly insane hot-roller technique). Reese loves sharing Dorothea's most delicious recipes as well as her favorite Southern traditions, from midnight barn parties to backyard bridal showers, magical Christmas mornings to rollicking honky-tonks.

It's easy to bring a little bit of Reese's world into your home, no matter where you live. After all, there's a Southern side to every place in the world, right?

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

It's like comfort food for the soul, southern style. I love Reese so was so excited to get this book and I wasn't disappointed! It's a large coffee table style book that's full of recipes, beautiful photos and sweet memories. The inside cover is lined in what reminded me of my grandmother's old wallpaper lol, I loved it!!After reading this book you'll want to cuddle up and watch steel magnolias with some warm biscuits and a big glass of iced sweet tea. I hope Reese does a novel next, I bet it would be great.Whiskey in a Teacup Review Instantly, I was smitten with Whiskey in a Teacup. Reading it is like cheerfully walking down Familiar Lane; pleasant and homey with an emphasis on family and the good times. It reminds me of a single volume of an annual subscription of Southern Living Magazine through the life and eyes of Reese Witherspoon. She gives family recipes (which I always appreciate) and party menu lists for year round celebratory occasions. Do I want to have a Kentucky Derby Party complete with pretty dresses and oversized hats? Yes, I do. And I want to serve Reese’s suggested Mint Juleps and Chocolate Derby Pecan Pie. She includes entertaining anecdotes from her childhood and endearing memories of her grandparents, mom, brother, family and friends. She made me want to put on my pearl necklace and get a dog. Reese had me reminiscing about my own grandparents’ huge garden and my grandpa’s work habits, from dawn to dusk even after retirement. In such a BFF kind of way, Reese takes her personal sharing even further- by suggesting music play lists for events like a “Southern Party” and road trips. She gives instructions for how to use hot rollers, and diagrams for how to set casual, as well as, formal table settings (with clever ways to remember). She gives hostess tips, attendee advice, flea market strategies, book reading suggestions, and gift ideas for a variety of occasions. I too love monograms Reese! It is an art under-appreciated in the north, and so is wall paper, soul sister.Wow! This book is my favorite!! So, I preordered the book months ago and just received it today! I was surprised how well done the book is. There are lots of beautiful pictures and fun topics to read. Seriously, LOTS of great information! This book is NOT another "celebrity" book. Yes, I love Reese Witherspoon, but I really believe you don't have to be her big fan to enjoy this book. I highly recommend this book for all women!!

Title: The Living Kitchen Pdf Healing Recipes to Support Your Body During Cancer Treatment and Recovery
Author: Tamara Green
Published Date: 2019-01-22
Page: 280

Advance Praise for The Living Kitchen by Tamara Green and Sarah Grossman“The Living Kitchen is just what cancer patients and their caregivers need. If you or a loved one has just been diagnosed with cancer and you want to know what you should eat, look no further. This step-by-step guide will put your fears at ease and provide you with truly delicious, healing foods to eat during every phase of your journey.” —Kelly Turner, PhD, New York Times bestselling author of Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds“The Living Kitchen is a well-researched book and a most welcome alternative for cancer patients and caregivers. It’s a useful resource for anyone with cancer or for anyone who will be helping to provide meals for someone with cancer.”—Dr. Ellen Warner, MD, medical oncologist, Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Research Institute and professor of medicine, University of Toronto“The Living Kitchen is a beautiful and important book. With recipes backed in real science that don’t disregard elegance and flavor in favor of their therapeutic properties, this is must-have for anyone on a cancer journey. It’s mouthwatering but more so, it’s filled with empathy and a real understanding of the various types of hardship cancer brings on. Armed with this book, you’ll feel comforted, satiated, and (perhaps) even filled with pleasure during one of life’s most difficult times.”—Liz Moody, Food Director of mindbodygreen and author of Healthier Together“The Living Kitchen brought me to tears, not because of the tenderness and brilliance that fill each page, and not because of the deliciousness of the recipes—but because I immediately saw how much easier it would have made my mother’s life (and my own, as one of her primary caregivers) during her battle with cancer. Here is a book that gives those healing, and their families, that most sought-after of gifts during an illness: immediate, tangible, and practical support.”—Lily Diamond, author of Kale & Caramel“There is no question that after undergoing a major cancer surgery and reconstruction, patients who are systematically well nourished heal faster and suffer fewer wound complications than those deficient. In today’s era of empowering patients to make cancer-related treatment decisions for themselves, The Living Kitchen serves as an important guide. The topics of ‘what can I eat after a cancer diagnosis?’ and ‘what foods may help me during wound healing after surgery?’ commonly arise with my patients. Having read this informative book, I feel far better educated and equipped to engage my patients in these types of important dialogues about food as medicine for our bodies.”—Dr. Toni Zhong, MD, Belinda Stronach Chair of UHN Breast Reconstruction Surgery and director of the UHN Breast Reconstruction Program“The Living Kitchen is brilliant, beautiful, and so incredibly needed. With so many questions that come with a cancer diagnosis, one mighty area that can empower those suffering and their caregivers is to know that the foods we prepare and enjoy are part of the solution—part of healing and recovery, as well as prevention. From how to eat to prepare for treatment to what to eat after, with meal plans and accompanying recipes, this book isn’t just for patients; it will nourish the whole family. This book is an essential resource for every kitchen, whether your home has been touched by cancer or not. I truly can’t recommend it more highly.”—Meghan Telpner, bestselling author of The UnDiet Cookbook and founder of The Academy of Culinary Nutrition“Finally, a book to answer the question, ‘What should I eat now that I have cancer?’ The information in The Living Kitchen is presented in such a clear, positive, and visually beautiful way that it will be easily digestible no matter where you are in your cancer journey. This way of eating—mindfully, organically, and supporting the body’s own healing mechanisms—is how we should all be eating throughout our lives. Food is indeed the best medicine.”—Dr. Jennifer Lang, MD, OB/GYN and gynecologist oncologist “The Living Kitchen is a beautiful reminder that no one should face this diagnosis alone. Tamara and Sarah’s compassion, empathy, and knowledge shines through every page of this book.”—Jessica Murnane, author of One Part Plant and host of One Part Podcast “The Living Kitchen brings together the how and why of eating for self-care and recovery. Sarah Grossman and Tamara Green take us from science to practical, and then to delicious, on a journey that teaches us the importance of food for physical and mental health.” —Laura LaChance MD, psychiatrist and nutritional psychiatry researcher at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)“The Living Kitchen is a beautiful testament to the power of real food during and following a cancer diagnosis. Prioritizing healthy eating during cancer can be exhausting and difficult, but Sarah and Tamara have taken this stress away by curating an exquisite guide of informative yet easily digestible material and accompanying recipes that are simple and deeply nourishing for the body and soul. This book is an authentic, mindful collection of wholesome food and wholesome information that simply strives to empower those that wish to improve their nutrition during cancer. Having personally been through cancer, and seeing patients daily in an adjunctive cancer care setting, I know this book will be a welcome and crucial ally in anyone’s cancer journey.” —Dr. Martha Sharpe, ND, naturopathic doctor with a clinical focus on adjunctive cancer care at Marsden Centre for Excellence in Integrative Medicine, and cancer survivor“The mouthwatering pictures of recipes in The Living Kitchen will inspire any reader, with or without a diagnosis of cancer, to pursue healthier eating. I will have copies of this book available in our clinic so that all of our patients, whether chronically ill, obese, or fit, have access to these simple, luscious, and health-promoting recipes.”—Rachel Farrell, CEO, Harmony Health Medical Clinic and Family Resource Center TAMARA GREEN and SARAH GROSSMAN are certified nutritionists and the founders of Living Kitchen. Title: The Plant Paradox Quick and Easy Pdf The 30-Day Plan to Lose Weight, Feel Great, and Live Lectin-Free

From bestselling author Dr. Steven Gundry, a quick and easy guide to The Plant Paradox program that gives readers the tools to enjoy the benefits of lectin-free eating in just 30 days.

In Dr. Steven Gundry’s breakout bestseller The Plant Paradox, readers learned the surprising truth about foods that have long been regarded as healthy. Lectins—a type of protein found in fruits, vegetables, legumes, dairy, and grains—wreak havoc on the gut, creating systemic inflammation and laying the groundwork for disease and weight gain. Avoiding lectins offers incredible health benefits but requires a significant lifestyle change—one that, for many people, can feel overwhelming.

Now, in The Plant Paradox Quick and Easy, Dr. Gundry makes it simpler than ever to go lectin free. His 30-day challenge offers incentives, support, and results along with a toolkit for success. With grocery lists, meal plans, time-saving cooking strategies, all-new recipes, and guidance for families and those following specialized diets (including ketogenic and vegan), The Plant Paradox Quick and Easy is the all-in-one resource Plant Paradox fans and newcomers alike need to jumpstart results reap the health benefits of living lectin-free.

Plant paradox quick and easy 30 day challenge I made a mistake.... the book is paperback. I wanted a book that shows all the colorful pages especially the colors of fruits and veggies and the pyramid chart.A program that can help us restore good health. Why not give it a try? I finished reading the book 2 days ago and, because I sincerely acknowledge its valuable content, I'd like to share some thoughts before you make any commitment.I’ll divide this review in 3 parts. First, I'll write thoughts about to whom I’d recommend reading it. Then, I’ll share a brief summary from each chapter. Last, I’ll express personal thoughts and strategies to comply with the program.RECOMMENDATIONIf you haven’t had the opportunity to read any of the 2 previous Plant Paradox books yet, and would like to understand the program and hopefully give it a try, you are in the right place: this one piece will cover all. It’s a short, comprehensive, and actionable book. As Gundry says, the present book focuses on practical matters, specially for those who have a busy life and think the program is impractical. If you’ve read any one of the two previous books and are satisfied [or perhaps not] with what you've learned, please, save your money for the upcoming book—The Longevity Paradox. In fact, since I believe it’ll be groundbreaking, I’ve already pre-ordered it. However, if you’re like me, who, even after reading and researching details over again, enjoy learning new findings over time, then this book here, in fact, brings new perspectives on how to interpret previous concepts.SUMMARYIf I could summarize the book in a few words, I would say that it’s a revised edition of the classic program, where the content is laid out in a succinct and more practical way to be implemented. In other words, I sincerely believe Gundry’s main objective here was to make it easier, walking us through the program, step by step.[Chapter 1] It’s a primer on lectins. We learn what the heck lectins are; the food sources high in lectin; the effects of consuming foods high in lectins; how lectins influence our weight; as well as the 7 deadly disruptors that damage our gut and immune system. It’s important to highlight these 7 disruptors. They are: broad spectrum antibiotics; non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; stomach acid blockers; artificial sweeteners; endocrine disrupters commonly found in plastics, personal care products, and household cleaners; genetically modified foods and the herbicide roundup; and over exposition to blue light specially at night.[Chapter 2] Here we learn the details of the program itself: how it sets apart from other programs; how it can restore our health issues; how it can benefit those who wish to lose weight; and also about the 4 rules for success. I fell in love with them when I read the previous book, and will share here with you: [1] what you stop eating has far more impact on your health that what you start eating; [2] pay attention to the care and feeding of your gut buddies [the microbiome], and they will handle the care and feeding of you; [3] fruit might as well be candy; and [4] you are what the things you are eating ate.[Chapter 3] Now we delve into the 30-day challenge, where we learn the details of the 3-phase challenge—why, what, and when to eat during these phases—explained in an easy and comprehensive format. At the end there is a section on intermittent fasting.[Chapter 4] This chapter starts with a list of the foods we'd want to stock our kitchen, and a list of those we'd want to avoid because they're either high in lectin or detrimental to our overall health. Then Gundry explains the details of certain foods we’d want to eat frequently due to their benefits. Some examples are: almonds, avocados, cassava flour, cauliflower rice, coconut, eggs, nori seaweed, and extra virgin olive oil. He then moves gears towards the common pitfalls we habitually fall while choosing our food. Also, he shares common stores [such as Costco, Trader Joe's, Amazon, Thrive Market, Walmart] where we can purchase high-quality food without spending extra money when compared to what we’d spend following the Standard American Diet. Finally we find a description of Gundry's favorite kitchen equipments and how we can take advantage of them.[Chapter 5] Here is where we learn practical strategies to start the program, making it easy to overcome resistance such as having a family to take care, demanding work schedules, stress, and so forth. Gundry shares ways to simplify our grocery list, notes on how to be more realistic towards our goals, as well as a handful and well-explained strategies to prepare our meals by maximizing the quality and taste while saving time. He finishes up with many suggestions on how to choose, prepare, and store ready-to-go snacks and meals whenever we need.[Chapter 6] This is the one chapter that sets it apart from his previous books. Gundry addresses concerns we may face when dealing with specific needs such as tailoring the program for kids, parents, vegans, as well as for patients in extreme medical conditions. He doesn’t leave behind special recommendations for those on ketogenic diet. I don’t have kids yet, but I love the section about preparing kid-friendly meals. At the end of the chapter we find a short section about the importance of good sleep and hydration, as well as considerations on supplements.[Chapter 7] This is a no-brainer 30-day meal plan, with all meals outlined. More than that, there's a weekly prep plan for each one of the 4 weeks. Recipes are found in the following chapter.[Chapter 8] In terms of recipes, I’ve only had the chance to try two of them so far. The Salmon Avocado Bowl was delicious, which is made with avocado oil and cauliflower rice. The second recipe, which I tried yesterday, was the Sage and Mushroom Soup. Well, it’s aromatic and works perfectly as an entrĂ©e for cold evenings. Super easy to prepare.PERSONAL THOUGHTSAlthough I’m fortunate to be in good health, I've been feeling better than ever after deciding to embark on Gundry's low lectin program late in 2017 after reading the main Plant Paradox book twice. I say twice because it was during the second read that I absorbed the details, and committed to try it out for the initial 6-week program. Not only my skin looks brighter, but I also have more energy during the day and my digestive system has worked smoother since I took the leap and adopted this lifestyle. At first, the program Gundry proposes looks both daunting and difficult to comply. Even though I’d been following a combination of other similar protocols during the last couple of years from figures such as Joseph Mercola, Mark Hyman, Valter Longo, Chris Kresser, and Frank Lipman, having to make only small adjustments such as removing darling foods high in lectin such as cashew, eggplant, pumpkin, tomato, cucumber, and bell pepper was a difficult task. I had to be mindful. After all, Gundry added the lectin factor—a protein produced by certain plants used as a defensive strategy that can trigger a cascade of damaging effects on our health. It took me over 10 years to fully comprehend my ways to keep unnecessary inflammation away while getting more energy. That journey started most probably because I’ve been fascinated about the impact of good nutrition on physical performance and the joy of sharing meals we prepare with loved ones.I say all that because, choosing to give it a try, you will be jumping ahead decades of unbiased clinical and experimental researches. Although these experts I mentioned above are all brilliant, in my humble opinion Gundry’s program is the latest fine-tuning.That said, I would like to share with you a strategy to ease the transition towards any diet you intend to try. First and foremost, we could think not as a “diet” but as a “lifestyle” instead. Besides creating a healthy and positive habit, we could embrace it as part of our own personal values. It doesn’t matter exactly where we’re right now as long as we vow to move the needle towards a more meaningful lifestyle. For that, changes in our current diet can be done all at once or can be adjusted over time. Personally speaking, specially in terms of eating habits, I would consider adjusting over time—creating a strong and lasting connection with our choices—specially these days we’ve been emotionally and physically attached to food. For example, during the first week you could remove from all of your meals a group of detrimental foods such as sugar and artificial sweeteners while making sure to include at least two tablespoons of a high-quality extra virgin olive oil every day. Keep adjusting on a daily basis while you get familiar with the program chosen until... you take the leap and commit fully to the program. In this case, Gundry proposes an initial 30-day challenge. After all, what’s 30 days when we are supposed to live beyond 80 years given the right conditions?Last, some people may claim that this lifestyle is expensive. Looking from distance it does look pricey. But trust me, it can be easily done spending less money than the Standard American Diet. I appreciate how thoughtful Gundry was to write the section “Food Shopping Tips and Tricks” where he shares notes on how we can take full advantage of Costco, Trader Joe’s, Thrive Market, Amazon, Walmart, and local farmers market. Besides that, throughout the book Gundry mentions specific brands to look for.I’ve been on Phase 3 for over a year now. Finishing the book, I decided to come back to Phase 1 and follow the 30-day challenge, starting this coming Monday. It’ll be a positive reset.Well, it turned out to be a long review. I hope it helps you in some way.Take good care,HaicalWould recommend to anyone with stomach problems and on anti acids. Love this book. Have had stomach problems for years, now have help and know what was causing it. Great book.
